BattleUK - Nottingham
A World Slalom Series Event.
History
For the last five years, the NottinghamSkaters have been responsible for BattleUK, one of the most popular annual freestyle skating competitions in the western hemisphere.
Rivalling similar top events France, Germany and Russia, BattleUK features freestyle slalom as the main competition, as well as speed slalom, freejump and slide contests. The event has attracted competitors from across the UK, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Belgium and as far afield as the USA, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius and Australia.
In an effort to bring freestyle skating to a wider audience and further the sport, in 2010, BattleUK will be part of the first ever UK slalom series!
Four competitions will make up the series:
BattleUK IV: Roll Britannia, Nottingham, 27th & 28th March
Eastbourne Extreme, Eastbourne, 17th & 18th July
SkateLondon, London, 14th & 15th August
Xtreme in the City, London, 23rd & 24th October
