WHO ARE WE?
The NottinghamSkaters, a club for inline skaters (rollerbladers) and roller skaters (quad skaters) based in and around Nottinghamshire.

WHAT DO WE DO?
The NS organise weekly street skates and meetups, teaching sessions, socials, regular trips and even international competitions (BattleUK) all with the aim of promoting inline and roller skating as healthy and environmentally friendly forms of exercise, transport and recreation, in the Nottingham area.

Our weekly advanced street skate takes place on Wednesday nights and is referred to as the Wednesday Night Skate or WNS. For a more relaxed skate, or to learn or develop your skating skills, come along to our weekend practice session on Saturday afternoons. If the weather is stopping you from skating outdoors, that's OK: we run a number of indoor sessions.

CAN I JOIN IN?
Membership of the NS is free and is open to all new and existing recreational, fitness, freestyle, speed and aggressive inline and roller skaters. There are no age restrictions on membership, but children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian (who are welcome to bring their skates too!)

HOW GOOD A SKATER DO I NEED TO BE?
The NS welcomes skaters of all abilities. If you're brand new to skating, we have qualified inline skating instructors to teach you how to go, stop and turn on your inline skates. See our page on our lessons for more details.

For the more intermediate or advanced skater, there are a huge range of skating styles and skills we can help you to develop: freestyle and speed slalom, freeride street skating, jumps, slides, street hockey, rollerdisco, distance and endurance skating.

I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS...
If you have any questions that are not answered on these pages, please post on our forum or contact is via email.

We hope to see you rolling with us soon!

The NS Committee.
